I need one too, but at this point I'd rather spend funds on other things. Looks like the first owner of mine never got the top fixed. I got me an oooozer.

But if you don't do it now you might not be able to later at all...

Exactly. I was told the plug would be scrapped if we couldn't get the pre-orders up to the minimum before the 29th... I was the one that got the donor roof for 6LE that I could have used for my own car, but I pretty much gave it to 6LE to copy to make the carbon version.

Yes. That money goes to pay for the mold fabrication & piece production.

As far as I know, there is one fiberglass one officially on order. I checked with 6LE a couple days ago and he said that the order count has not changed... The prices are on his website on page 1, and subtract 20% off that price by using the 4th of July discount code.

I believe I'm the only one pre-ordered for the fiberglass roof, unless it didn't go through cause I haven't paid shipping yet.

I am really bummed though; my roof looks like **** and I thought this was going to happen.

I'm about $150 short to drop on a CF roof. I'm actually relying on my own business to afford it & even then I'm guessing there's only 2 other people willing to purchase & there's 88 pages of people complaining about bubbling roofs/t tops.
My car being in the baking weather lately I've now noticed a v shape running from front to back like the glue has just run down under the paint, It's parked on a hill.

Maybe there's 8 or 9 people thinking the same thing? We're pulling this thing in 5 days. You pay to show you're committed, five days later we're making the part or you have your money back. I just don't think there is any serious interest in this part...

Once again, as always, even if we had like 5 we'd probably front the rest but with just ONE person excited at the chance a company is willing to get a part made for their car (which at best is over 10 years old, ie most companies could care less), a part which HAS to be replaced unfortunately and NO ONE makes one, is pretty discouraging.

We made the part available, people don't want to buy it then we don't want to make it.

I also understand money is an issue BUT we've had the pre-order page and threads on here up for OVER four months now. In four months only one person wanted it enough to commit, again, I don't think there is any serious interest in this part....

Here's where we stand...

2 Fiberglass orders

1 Carbon Fiber order

All three we've had for months I just found out from Jeff, not just one.

We talked to the private label company and they are willing to knock minimum down to 8...

SO, 6 more FG orders it is a go...

7 more CF orders it is a go...

Giving this 5 more days and pulling the plug (see what I did there? plug. lol)...

Damn, and then there's shipping from Cali to NC

So if you can sell 8 you will make a batch of 8 then? Is that the end of the road? Maybe I should buy the rest and hold them until people are desperate?
