In what way did you modify the rear bracket, looks sick by the way.

I drilled out the holes on my factory bracket to the bigger 14mm zo6 bolts. I cut my dust shield to make room for the caliper. Once I got everything bolted up the caliper was not center on the rotor. So I took it to a machine shop and had .020 taken off the caliper to bring it in. That got it center on the rotor.

Thanks, Yeah I get some grief for putting gfx on a SS, but I think when they are done right they look better with them

Damn nice set up man. The rears were only off by .020? That's not much at all and would be easy to mill them down. Hmmmm wheels are spinnin my head now, thanks! What is the size of the rear rotors? Are they substantially bigger than stock rear ones?

Wheels, paint, & brakes look pretty nice.
The thin profile tires, ..., neh, needs more rubber or yer gonna be busting wheels left & right with potholes & bumps!

Yes they are, I had to modify the parking brake shoe to make the parking brake work

I know this is sort of an old thread but I second this question. I see you explained how you modified the caliper and bracket, but I'm curious on how you were able use the factory e-brake system on our cars using the C6 Z06 rotors. It doesn't look like the center hub diameter is big enough on the Z06 rotor to accept the pads from the factory e-brake system.

Thanks for the information!! This helps me out a lot. I'll be sticking with a CTS-V1 setup for the rears since my fronts are already done up in V1 form. It appears I'll have to do the same shoe mod you did to get them to fit. I won't know about the rear caliper and rotor clearance until I get the parts in and do some mock-up. Probably won't touch it until late winter though.

If only you didnt have to run obscenely large wheels with this setup...
traction vs. stopping power; can never have best of both worlds...
It makes me ponder the question as to exactly how much of a difference the bigger brakes and rotors would make compared to a decent stock setup (blank brembos/hawk pads) seeing as you have to run a large tire with little sidewall that kills traction. Im sure the c6 setup would still win for sure but I wonder by how much and if it is worth it. Having to spend over $2k (before the CCWs to boot) when for a little more you can run an aftermarket brembo or stoptech kit and get the same effect while being able to keep and run smaller wheels with a lot more meat and traction.
