So count me in to do what you want as long your not trying to tell people its real when they ask.
So the info here is entirely wrong??

I'm saying the ss Vs z28 production number is. I looked this up when I bought my z as 2001 there was less z28 s and the lowest total production year if my memory sevres

having owned 2 SS camaro's i feel the same way. i don't understand why someone would spend more money to make it into an SS when most of the time it's cheaper to just buy one

Its totally up to you because its your car. I have owned my car for 9 years now and just cloned it into an SS this past winter. I tell people at car shows its really a Z28 but I honestly just felt like cloning it. I will also tell you that its easier to peel the z28 emblems off and apply ss emblems then list the car for sale, sell it, and then find another ss that isn't beat to hell. I kept all of my z28 stuff because one day i might put it back to original. (even the salad shooters lol).

This is fun...can I join.

From what I understand all the SS cars were Modified Z28's outside of the GM facility...correct?

Which if so, for Black and White purposes........GM actually Never Manufactured an SS in the 4th generation Camaro.

So why are you guys ragging on someone who wants to do the same thing?

GM didn't but SLP did, hence the build number. I opted to spend the money for an SS instead of buying a z28 and spending more money to make it an SS when I could've just spent the money in the first place on the real thing. That's my reasoning
