Hood Pins?
structure. When I put a 'glas hood on my El Camino
I had to bed in screw-plates under some additional
fiberglass to do this, otherwise make it four deckpins.
Not many options that look good. Most of the Mr.
Gasket type stuff is kinda thin, chrome doesn't stand
up that well to the elements if you live in a swamp,
but all I wanted was for the thing not to bust the
latch off and fly up.
If you were to reinforce the front "bar" you might be able
to install the stock latches and forget the deckpins.
Mine needed so much section-and-reglassing to fit
that it was structurally "compromised".
If I were doing a car of any decent quality I would go
with the kind that are the Pepsi-machine-lock style.
Keep the neighborhood varmints out of your engine
compartment since you may not have the stock latch's
protection.
