nice edit

I do understand what he is saying and I do agree sometimes.

Fact is, it's his car, he paid for it, he did the work. At least he isn't adding fart cans, neons, extra wings, etc. And it was a car that was practically a shell and not worth the time, effort or money to put it all original.

Cool videos. I wish mine was a hardtop. I think I've had my t-tops off less than 10 times since I got it back in 05 lol.

I wish I had T-Tops but I'm not gonna hack up my car for it. There's T-Top cars for sale out there every day, if I want one that bad, I'll go buy one. All I'm saying about the subject.

some people really need to grow up and chill out who cares what he is doing to the car if he didnt take it to restore it would have probably ended up in the scrapyard anyway. if you dont like his ideas just dont look at the thread. and just because you have been on the site longer then someone else dosent mean that your not acting like a fool

People back then didn't know what they would bring these days either, if they did, wouldn't you think you'd see more out on the roads than what is out there?

sorry to hear about your tops flying away. My tops are always off and even if its to the track the top will be off when it can and back on for the race.

car shows it can go to and cruise nights around here as well.

As for the firehawk package im not concerned about these ever being rare in 30 years.

I would rather get a rare car now and wait 30 years and sit on a half a mil or better $

even a junk yard found shell of a claimed rusted out true hemi cuda gets validated for it's authenticity. that's the difference of saying it's a hemi and actually being a hemi.

If you look at this page: http://www.transamworld.com/1998-200...kdowns-new.pdf you can add up that there were 75,631 V8 firebirds made between 1998 and 2002. You can also see that there were a total of 81 hardtop Firehawks built in those same 5 years. If you are half way decent at middle school math you can see that out of all the V8 firebirds built in 5 years only .107% of them were hardtop Hawks. Not sure what you consider rare though, obviously less than .1%?

I'm not here to argue if that is rare or not, and note that I could not give half a **** about what he does with his car. I would just be interested to know if it truly is one of these 81 cars.

about 5,050 NUMBERED Firehawks over a 10 year span to me is rare.. add in the 164 Comp T/A's ( thankfully fake hawk isn't claiming he's hacking up a comp t/a). anyone can/have/will buy stickers off ebay and say they have firehawk.

'92 - 25
'93 - 200
'94 - 500
'95 - 671
'96 - 41
'97 - 116
'98 - n/a
'99 - 719
'00 - 741
'01 - 540
'02 - 1501

it's not as easy pawning off a firehawk as it would a ws6. Sexy cars, numbered and a whole lot more of them... https://ls1tech.com/forums/special-e...y-listing.html

741 Firehawks built in 2000 and 500 in 1994... personally i dont that you hack the car(s) a part but combined a very shady back story that the previous owner gave away EVERYTHING that made it a firehawk right down to the wheels, center console, and dashboard that has the rpo code sticker on the inside of the glove box door. i know all about the slp fire and lots of info was lost but the rpo code on the sticker would still be visible that would identify the lt1/slp firehawk code. and now this suspected '00... fake hawk fake hawk... what am i going to dooo i'm just going to laugh at you.....

no offense, but you have some issues bro. if it's fake who cares. only you seem to. He's not acting like his car is the **** because its a firehawk or trying to rub it in anyone's face, he's not gloating about having one. He doesn't seem to care about it being a firehawk. Sounds/looks like he found the shell and decided to rebuild a car from it. You clearly care about the whole firehawk thing, the numbers, the rarity... all that, he doesn't. Just like how everyone on this board probably cares more about their fbody/vette/caddy than your average Joe who goes and buys the car. everyone isn't fascinated in the same way over things, and everyone doesn't feel the need to prove anything to anyone. hence the situation between you two...

the simple thing to do, would be to just LET. IT. GO. get over it. count it as a loss in your quest to know about all firehawks. if he's faking the funk, who cares.

you're becoming this guy

I agree this is going nowhere and never will, but it is obvious that he cares/wants the attention. If he didn't he would not have put Firehawk in his screen name, and Hawk in the title of the thread. Just saying none of this would happened if he left out 4 letters in the title, then people would be telling him how good a job he did and how great it looks.
