The brass gears strip if the housing flexes. You need to make sure the housing is properly closed/sealed tightly to lengthen the life of the gears. Also make sure the gears and shafts are lubed.

Yellow headlights originally came from France. Do not give the Japanese credit they do not deserve.![Offtopic](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies3/offtopic.gif)
And white ~4300K is the best light you will get. Blue (5000+ K scatters too much and not much of it will reach your eye compared) sucks while white shows the full spectrum and allows you to determine what you are seeing the best but yellow is the best for determining that you do in fact see something.

It doesn't look cool, it looks cheap and is horrible for your vision and everyone elses around you when driving. Blue light causes your eyes to close, which lets in less light, which causes poorer vision. Why do you think that red lights are used in theaters, most guage clusters and anywhere else that good night vision is neccesary? They don't cause your retina to close, which actually lets in more light and allows you to see clearer.
When I see that, I don't think 'cool', I think someone got ripped off and is looking to cause an accident.

I've passed numerous cops and no one pulled me over yet and I had these on for about 4 months.
