Default possible to separate 93-96 camaro lenses?

Ok I got a set of used lt1 style tail lights to replace my cracked and warped 2002 z 28 tails. The problem with them is they are not as clean as I would like them to be.

Not cracked or warped but they seem to be delaminating around the edges and the inner reflectors are fading

My question is does anyone know if its possible to separate the lens from the reflector similar to what is done on the whistler mod which I have already performed successfully.

I would like to get these apart to clean all the dust out of them and repaint the reflectors before install

Any advice would be appreciated especially if you have experience with this kinda thing

Lol. I tried. I failed. Don't know of anyone who has been successful. I don't think yiu can, the lights are sealed in a different way than the headlights are.

Unless you cut it, the lens will melt before the glue can separate.

yeah, I assume the best option would be to cut them from the back. looks pretty hard, but looks doable

I've done it to my low beams and fogs... took a hairdryer and kept it close to the edges where the glass meets the metal and you take a knife or a boxcutter slowly separate the glass from the metal as the sealant heats up and becomes gooey. It takes time and you will probably **** up once or twice.
