You will notice the throttle response more than anything probably... Lid/ported TB/free mods you might notice it a tad if you are use to driving the car.

A lid is only good for around 5-8Rwhp, that is very hard to notice.

I would recommend a good tune for the power feeling improvement. Other than that it takes a combo of little things usually with a tune to really get the improvement you are looking for. Buy some used Long tubes on here, nice catback or dump it, do a LID/filter and LS6 intake than get it tuned, you should hit your goal or be over it there provided the motor is strong.

Where in the central valley are you? I go out to modesto a lot.

Good luck finding mods that are CA legal....CA legal = stock *nearly*.

But get a good smog guy and don't worry about it. Thats what I did with my 427 monster.

im sure you can find it for a better price.

This was one of the first things I did to my 98 Z28 and the throttle response difference was immediately noticeable and made it much more fun to drive !

The slp package is a rip off. You can have more gains for literally half the price.

This. The only thing SLP you should even think of buying is a lid. Every other mod you can find a product just as good (usually even better) for far less money.
