Default My 98 Trans Am detailed (pic heavy!)

I just recently bought a 1998 Trans Am with a bad rearend, it was looking pretty bad as well! But as a detailer I knew what laid under the dirt, but I also noticed the clear had trouble from a cheap paint job.

So I replaced the rear end and started the clean up, I also purchased the wheels which are 19" axis shine staggered setup.

Here are the results of my hard work.

major improvement, it looks good! I like the stripe job and the wheels you put on, they'd look even better with a bit more rubber on 'em. Lower it and you're set!

Thanks Crimson_bird! I love your car and I have your pics saved on my computer just love it!! The wheels are exactly how i bought them when I first saw them online its one of the things that made me like them. And lowering it is one of the first things I want to do.

Looks good man. Now show us the trouble clear areas.

Did you end up wetsanding the rest of the car? Very nice improvement. Someone spent a lot of money changing the color on it some time back huh.

It was always black but when they did the flames and some body work on the back quarter they reshot the clear. Guessing it was cheapy paint cus on edges it's coming up.

How did you fix the white clouds (clear coat)?

Mine is starting to do that on the quarter panel.

Here are some pics of the t-top bar.

Here are the clear coat trouble spots, you can see where its falling apart/just worn out.

What I used was a highspeed buffer with a wool pad on the first stage and Meguiars 105.

Then I used a foam polishing pad with Menzerna 2500 Polish and finished with Meguiars carnuba wax.
