I wanted something custom too. This was my idea, then I found this hood on CL and couldn't pass it up. Guy had it made by cutting the center divider out of the nose. Very clean work.

here it is on our test vehicle the passenger side headlight needs to be raised
and we will have to wait for some better weather to get some better photos outside we can start taking orders on this item now

looks like the C5 hood, the regular sunoco, and the wide sunoco got together and had a 3-way baby. really would have liked to see a more subtle cowl, like originally posted.
still interested to se it painted to match though

(this would combine the vette with the firebird and sunoco, fix the flatness that the lt1 suffers from, we would round out the top of the hood to give the illusion of rounded fenders. We would also raise the scoop a little more than the picture shows something like 3 to 3-1/2 inches.)
once we get some nicer weather out here were going to get some nice overall shots and I think most will be suprised at how amazing this hood makes the lt-1 car look from every angle.

agree that its c5 vette-ish, but its the first time ive seen and liked an lt1 'bird
i like the sunoco-blend idea too, but either way its a great addition to the vfn lineup!
