Default VFN's New LT1 Firebird Hood! Pictures Added on page 5

This is just an idea please let us know what you think

From This

To This

And This

To This

this would combine the vette with the firebird and sunoco, fix the flatness that the lt1 suffers from, we would round out the top of the hood to give the illusion of rounded fenders. We would also raise the scoop a little more than the picture shows something like 3 to 3-1/2 inches. NO BARFING PLEASE!!!

I like it. The rounded sides look good the way they roll into the fenders. And I like the subtleness of the center. I wouldn't want to see it larger, honestly I think it'll be ruined going to a larger cowl look.

But to really get a feel for it, you need pics of it painted to match, and get rid of the bra, that really gets in the way of seeing how it really flows with the front end.

I agree, I wouldn't raise it up much taller than that. If you could paint it (even a cheap job just to get the color right) and remove the bra that would help a lot. I'm liking where it is headed though.

I like it too. The lt1 cars have ugly stock hoods. This one makes it flow better

I like it, ever think about getting rid of the low spot down the center to look a little less corvetteish? May resemble the sunoco a little which is already a proven seller.

I know its a crappy photoshop but you get the idea....

I think both look good, I would like to see a stock ws6 lt1 hood have like a cowl like mcnord did, or even with the vfn hood. Anyone wanna chop it to see what it would look like? If not its still good to see something different coming out. Or how about a smoothy q/wsq version for the lt1. Just some ideas

put the stock ws6 hood vents on this chop. Just to clear up what I was talking about.

McNords rendering is sick, reminds me of the caravaggio c5 sc hood which I love. If something like that was available for ls1 camaros I would of gotten it rather than the sunoco which I still like so I guess I cant complain. But props for still showing support for the lt1 owners.

Thanks for the input, one thing we wanted to mention is that the hood we pictured on the car is only a photoshop idea at this point also, so we can do just about anything at this point nothing is set in stone. Seeing as the front end of a firebird has more in common with a vette than the camaro We set a vette hood on top of a car and smoothed it in photoshop,
I will try to get another photo without the bra, the nose on this car is covered for a reason unfortunately.
The vette impression on the top of the scoop is one of the reasons we wanted to hear others opinions,we would like to add more curve to the scoop like our Sunoco design but we werent sure if we wanted to replicate the Camaro sunoco for the firebird just so its not too played out, but that may be something we do in the end afterall, thats why we value your opinions.
Thanks guys keep-em coming

looks like someone put a C5 hood on a firebird by mistake. LT1 WS6 hood > all aftermarket hoods.

Decent looking. Show some love to the base model lsX TA. Not really into the big nostril look.

I actually like it with the center line more than without, it actually flows a lot better with the car than it does smooth.

They have a fiberglass flat hood.

I like the new LT1 hood, but that ill fitting bra should be removed.
