Default Ground FX and Lowered?

Anyone don't it? I have thought about it, but my car would sit way tooooo low I believe. The Tunnel Brace is only about 4-5 inches off the ground now, and the SFC's aren't too far above it. Any thoughts, pics, experiences?

I have GFX with Hypercoil springs and I get around just fine. Jacking the car up sucks and you will probrably have to invest in a low profile jack, but that comes with the territory. I have never scraped the front ground even though my front air damn (under the car) and exaust bottoms out evey now and then. I think it's a small price to pay though, everbody gives me compliments and the car looks slammed even though it's not.

I think the Wing West front piece sits a little higher than the Xenon or the Rk Sport.

It would be close. Love the stance of your car GM Muscle, but around her in the backwoods I just don't think it would work. Here is a pic of the car now. I took off all the covers by the way:

I agree that it would look better, but I don't think I could drive it

Default lower it?

I have the same kit, thinking about lowering it 1" with DMS springs or Hotchkis - I think 1" is the max with how low the front is. Scared to do it though, I cringe every time I pull out of a driveway as it is...

let me know what you decide - nice ride by the way. glad to see I'm not the only one that likes that kit...

Thanks, I think it would be pretty close too. Your side skirts are fine but those front pieces are pretty damn low. You could get some 1" drop springs for all four corners and some QA1 shocks for the front. That way you can have a true adjustable coil over set up in the front. You could also raise the compresion rate of the front shocks alittle to help prevent bottoming out on the back woods pot holes, believe me I know first hand about those.

I agree, I think 1" would be perfect. It would look 10 times better, and you wouldn't be losing that much clearance!

Thanks for the suggestion GM Muscle. I had not really thought of that! I will seriously consider that. Mako 22--wicked looking car! That front piece seems to almost hit everything and pic up every rock doesn't it?

To each his own. I personally don't like body kits, they tend to destroy the lines of a good looking car. Or create a hideous frankenstein of parts from an already ugly P.O.S.

Just not my style.

I agree. The funny thing is that it could be argued that a TA is Firebird with a body kit. It's got rockers, different front fascia completely, the rear is different due to an add on. Not saying it is, but one could say......

This is not a post hating on TA's, I was actually looking at them at the same time I got my SS, just couldn't pass this one up. Love RA's, just not people flaming coming into threads and posting something completely off topic to ruin a decent thread.

I could put some 18's on the front also, and then lower it some, like an inch, do you all think that would make much of a difference in ride height?

I'm not saying your car was ugly. In general though, Its been rare that I've ever seen a body kit I like. Its not a flame, just a personal opinion; you don't have to listen to anything I say, you should be happy with your car...and thats that.
