Default Stock 1998 z28 wheels question!

I was thinking about painting my stock wheels on my z28 black but leaving a outer chrome rim. Has anyone done this? If so please tell me how you tapped it off and post pics if you have them.

I used index cards stuck on the inside of the lip all the way around. Worked perfectly and there a buck at the dollar store. To mask the lip, just put the thinner painters tape down on the lip and carefully follow it all the way around the parameter. You can use that groove where the lip begins as your guide.

I would run thinner tape than what's below, but you get the idea.
