interesting. My cool white HP6s look blueish - I have Mcewen gauge overlay (white).
Does the Mcewan overlay just go over the stock gauge face or replace it? The OE black Camaro gauge face has a very blue filter on the back of it. WW LEDs will give a dirty aqua-ish color, CW LEDs will give a very bold aqua-bluish color (looks nice, not deep blue like an actual blue LED would be). I've run both, so I have seen this first-hand. Unfortunately, it's really hard to get the camera to pick up the variations in the white to accurately show all the differences.
If the Mcewan just covers the OE gauge face, you're still going to have that blue filter. The McNord guage faces that Sommer is showing have no filter, so the CW LED comes out looking white.
FWIW, the OE face CAN be cleared successfully. I did it. I'll do a writeup sometime when I am done - I am still in the middle of my project, so I don't want to do a writeup now.
