I agree with Tony...a flat black paint job on the new cars looks like you couldn't afford to get the car done right hehehe

and the punisher idea is bordering cheesy if you ask me...IMO you should stick to a factory black with clear and all with black outs and some chrome ZR1's with an Ultra Z hood mmmmmmmm

I think I saw that car the other day. Yeah...i did....about 4 of them yesterday and about 40 of them on this site. How many flat cars do you see in a day.

Anyway, chrome ZR1's are PLAYED...and IMO, the ultra Z is ultra ugly (lol). But...you may be right about the punisher thing...after a few months or a year, it may get old. That movie didn't help (from what I hear). But, thats why I want a sticker, not a mural.

FLAT BLACK, TODD! FLAT BLACK!!!! I don't think it will look like you can't afford paint (that is, if its nice and straight/smooth). If it was primer grey it would...not black.

LOL! Very international of you...lol.

When I think of that "look" I'm thinking 73-85 chevy truck, with wheels/tires sticking 3 inches outside the body, and its primer-grey. But maybe thats just Dallas.

well....to each his own...I personnally have not seen a ghetto flat black car, just plenty of grey ones and a ton of all-to-common f-bodies.

I'm chuckling over Nine's comment on page one about the Road Warrior.

I have seen this paint treatment on olders cars.

I think that I would do the body first and then see what wheels look good. The challenge is not have the car look like it's supposed to be in a body shop getting real paint.

Punisher decal would be extremely ghey let folks figure that out on their own give them more credit then that.

Was the car in Cobra black or gray?

i actually think flat black would be bitchin', there was a flatblack ford pickup in the truckin mag with traditional flames ar tt2s and a navigator clip dubbed "hot rod lincoln" they laid down a black base coat and a ppg flat clear over it so it would be extremely durable then flamed it...if it looks like **** lets not forget you can hit it with 600 wet and clear the car to make it regular ol' gloss black...this is how id do it...2.5 inch cowl hood,97 ss spoiler, flatblack, gunmetal zr1s, or zo6s, loud ****** exhaust!,maybe some california kid lookin' flame licks over the hood and fender edges...
