OK OK I'll tell them there's some interest in kits. Like I said it's going to be a few weeks before I can take my Camaro down for the 'measurements'. When its done I'll let everyone know.

redrumss - what do you mean by a "motor kit"?

Now I'm confused. This is going to be for the engine bay not the motor. That was the way I read the start of this thread. Sorry but I'm not going to take my motor apart for measuring bolts etc. The measurements that I'm talking about if you look at the picture below is for where you see the allen head bolts with the blue apperance washers on the radiator support and the fender. The motor things that will probably be measured are the throttle body mounting bolts, the TB bracket that holds the throttle cable, and the spot on the passenge head where a head plate would mount. Sorry if there has been some confusion on this.

would a parts diagram be more helpful than taking the car in? I have the one for Camaro's electronically, it's very detailed, all part numbers and descriptions...

I understood this thread from the beginning, Rob. A kit would be very nice and worthwhile for them to invest some time into. Keep us posted!

1BadMoFo I have the same file. But what Ryan said he would be looking for were sizes (mm) and lengths of the screws/boltes/etc. Some of the descriptions on the electronic file leave much to be desired. Also I think they will be double checking the correct appearance washers that work best with the newer ones. And if an appearance washer can work in that location. There are few spots that the washer would need to be 'adjusted' to be able to fit and they will be able to tell with the car there. Thanks for the offer.

Yes - any update. My engine is going together nicely - this kind of kit would really compliment everything done. Let us know Poltergeist...

What are these 'show washers'? They sorta look like countersunk finishing washers, but it's hard to tell.

I called Hillco this past Saturday about the status of my order. She told me it would take about 2 weeks to put the set together from what I ordered. Hex bolts, chevy bowtie bolts, chrome washers and blue anodized show style washers. I sent like 20 different baggies with the different size bolts and nuts. I also put a note in each baggie to what each piece went to. Fender, head plate, hood latch, etc, etc. She said they were going to use that as a start to begin putting a kit together. Like Poltergeist said, I didn't take my motor apart but just sent them my engine bay bolts and nuts. She also told me that Gardner-Wescott was making the SS bolts like the bowtie bolts. I get some free samples . When I mentioned that I wanted the Steven setup, they knew exactly who I was talking about. Said he spent many of Saturdays for hours on end replacing his nuts and bolts. I Hope to get mine soon.

I talked to Ryan today and I'm going Saturday for them to measure everything. Probably Monday you'll be able to start ordering, but I'll everyone what Ryan says when we are done.
