Default Retrofit LS6 fuel rail covers on LS1 Camaro

Well I know there are a good amount of threads asking how to fit FRC's on F bodies, but I noticed none of them were the red ls6 ones. Has anyone really done it? I recently got my hands on some, and I REALLY want these on my camaro.

I know id have to cut a hole for the dipstick and notch a corner for the cable throttle body, but what else have you guys done??

BTW

There are ones with 2 cut outs for fuel lines, and some with 1 cutout for fuel lines. Most always say to get the FRC's with 2 cutouts, but ls6 ones only have one. So I just wanted to know if it was NEEDED... Or prefered to fitment.

I just got these in tonight and havnt been able to open the hood and test them out yet

Has anyone used the LS6 covers on an LS1 with just one slot? I have heard you can tuck the shorter fuel line under the cover.

I saw this pic which appears to confirm tucking, but I am wondering if there is more modding necessary than just tucking the line underneath?

I swapped in a crate LS6 longblock over 10 years ago and added the red LS6 FRC's....still have them on too, only now with a FAST 92mm intake. The passenger side I had to cut a notch for the TB cables and a hole for the dip stick, on the driver side, I traced the patten for the first fuel line slot onto a piece of paper and then transfered the pattern to where I wanted the 2nd fuel line slot and use a dremel to cut it out. Looks factory too unless you pull out a magnifying glass...

That is definitely an option, one which I probably didn't feel confident about until your reply. Did you use the multipurpose cutting bit (drill bit shaped) and/or cutting wheel?

Still hoping to hear tips on fitting the return hose under the cover.

Since posting, I removed the heat tape and tried bending the return hose to fit under and it does not seem like there is enough play and the green cap sits up too high.

I also saw a post about extending the return hose, but no details were provided. I assume the intent was to splice a new section of hose, which seems undesirable (this is just an appearance mod after all).

I just used the cutting bit (drill bit shaped), but the sanding cylinder is what gave me the finish I wanted after I cut it out. Yes, it gummed it up and ruined the sanding cylinder by the time I was done, but it really made the cut smooth and let me shape it the way I wanted.

Thanks for the tips. I've ruined a few sanding cylinders before on other projects
