looks pretty good...thought about doing a few accents myself.

i did a faux pick guard on my 8 string recently...was easy to work with.

This stuff looks very promising from the pictures, will it hold up to heat if you used it in the engine compartment? Got me thinking about wrapping the ugly coils in this among other things.

Not much difference between the two brands, that I see.

Any pics of the 3m on and installed in the car? Might try this out.

Just pop it off and try it. It'll come off if you hate it. I redid it twice.

Go on amazon and type in 3m 1080 carbon fiber.....should find some for around $20

Actually, I have had my car repainted, but it's still the original factory color. 88U Bright Purple Metallic, it was a '96-'98 color that got discontinued part way through the first LS1 model year.
