Homelink installed
So I got bored one weekend day and had this Homelink module lying around and decided to throw it in the camaro. Had to file the back of the panel a bit to get it to fit in but it turned out nice and the module works really well! Dont need a garage door opener anymore. Sorry the pics are a little blurry

There are two wires one for power and ground and that is it. It has non volatile memory so once you program the remotes to the device you can disconnect it from power and it still remembers the remotes. I bought mine from http://www.ebay.com/itm/Homelink-Universal-Transmitter-Custom-Rolling-Codes-/180923321468?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a1fdecc7c&vxp=mtr
and I used this site for the instructions on programming it http://www.overheaddoor.com/garage-d...tructions.aspx

Sorry for taking so long to post back, but yeah I picked it up off eBay and it just has a power and a ground is all, I used an existing bolt for a ground and just spliced some power from another wire under the dash, it doesn't take much power so it shouldn't hurt anything. I had to look up instructions on how to program it off google but other than that it is very convienant lol

Whatever you mount the device to has to be really thin for the buttons to clamp to the module so I had to file with a grinder the back side of the panel so it was thin enough for the buttons. That was the time consuming part the wiring took 10 minutes to hook up

I'll see if I can fit it into the headliner in my 'vert.

I never thought about the headliner! Great idea. I've had one of these laying around for quite a while. Bought it for $30ish to fit in the wife's G6, but then figured out I could just buy a complete overhead console from a Saturn Astra and it clips right in.

I agree that is a wicked spot to put one of those, the possibilities are endless where you could put one.
Id like to see how that turns out if anyone has pictures of the homelink in the headliner...
