Default Tint Adhesive Removal (Back Window)

When i bought my 98 TA, the windows had old purple tint on them that had bubbles and was torn in a few areas. I peeled some off and it left the residue from the adhesive behind.... what is the best method or product to use to get this crap off withough hurting the defroster???

thanks

I used to work at a window tinting place, best way is to mix some johnsons baby shampoo and water, spray on and use some fine steel whool to scrub it off. Only way to not mess up defroster. Its a huge pain and takes time

We used water with a few drops of dish soap in a spray bottle and fine steel wool at the tint shop I worked in. Like posted earlier steel wool is the best way to not remove the defroster lines.
