<-- Interested.

According to OP, it states the offer is contingent until 10 people or until April 8th. Is this an either/or (which ever happens first)? How do we know if the "group buy" is fulfilled or if it's still being offered. How many people have bought it.

Also, I am not an existing customer, so I'm confused if I can actually purchase the $250 kit.

That being said, this appears to be a GREAT upgrade to any useable car.

Doc - A notice will be provided as we are getting close to fulfillment. As of right now, we have 5 confirmed orders with a number of PM's from potential customers. Depending on the response, we can decide to open it up to more customers but will start building for the first 10 to be respectful to those who purchased early.

The upgrade kit is not available unless you are an existing customer. If you would like the full kit minus the HID components, please feel free to PM us to discuss what components you want and do not want.

5000k is by far the most popular we sell. It provides a very nice balance of light color and output. Remember, the higher in Kelvin temp you go, the amount of light will be reduced.
Any negative effects if going with h 50W?
I'm going to check out that link

2002 Trans Am - The only drawback to the 50W is generally extra heat. The projector can handle it which was confirmed by our supplier, TRS. The DDM slim kit is another HID kit provider who offers a physically slimmer ballast setup.

If you google "ddm tuning" you will see that they sell cheap HID kits. Cheap doesn't mean crap either. I have bought 3 sets of HIDs from them and they are still working without issue for the last 5 yrs.

Of course I've been driving my car for 10+ years hating the lights and wanting to get an HID system. Now I'm ready to buy but I'm on the fence because I just got a new car for a daily driver and don't need my car all year round nearly as much

Ahh what the heck, put me down for Standard V2 Bi-xenon 5K in 35W

Which projector are you using? I must've missed it. Morimoto mini d2s?
Nice to see you were able to finally get a nice hid projector kit made. I was impatient and retroed my own h1 kit together last winter.

This new V2 setup uses the Morimoto Mini D2S HID projectors with a D2H bulb (a D2S bulb with thinner base and with AMP connectors for better packaging).

The older V1 setup uses the Hella 60mm 9006 Halogen projectors with an HID kit.

Pics/Thread? I'd like to see how you sealed & mounted them. If you have a thread (or make a thread), I'll add it to the Lighting FAQ.

As VIP1 mentioned, we are using the Morimoto Mini D2S for the V2 kit with a D2H lamp.

All PMs returned. Thank you!

How does that D2H bulb work with the D2S projector?

I never made a thread. It was a huge PITA getting everything to fit. I might take some pictures if you like, but it'd be kind of hard to make a thread now. I used the lmc truck housing lights and took apart the glass and mounted the mini h1 projector inside it then just heat formed a plexiglass cover on it. I still need to hook up the high beam though! I have the wires ran I just need to purchase some quick connectors so I can unplug the high beam if I need to take the lights out. I sealed the back with some rubber pieces and it hasn't got any water inside the housing after a year of daily driving.

The D2H lamp has the same base as a D2S except it uses two wire leads to AMP connectors as opposed to the D2S standard connector. It works great for those who want to use their aftermarket kit ballasts with a D2S projector. You can buy adapters to convert the ballasts either way but getting a little extra room behind the lamp is not a bad thing with the pop-up headlights.

After those spots are filled will there be no more of these for sale, or just at higher prices?

I find pictures explain how the bulb fits better then anything else.

I found a killer deal on the projectors so I decided to buy them and will be diving into doing a retrofit this weekend. Nothing against BLS but I managed to score the projectors for less then 80 bucks shipped, so I decided to try to do it myself.
