or does it seem like everytime you look your dark colored car over, it's got a new small scratch or chip in it? it seems like that to me, and i'm just *hoping* that it seems like that to everyone...

Same here. I can't help but look the car over after I clean it to find new damage, hopefully not finding anything. Black is an awsome looking color for the 3.7 seconds it's clean after you wash it.

Thanks for reminding me. Joking.

I agree. Every time I look at my car, there is a new scratch or mark on it.

I love black and navy blue cars the best, but those two colors are absolutely frustrating to own. Swirl marks, rock chips, scratches and dings show up way too easily on dark colors.

I'd really like to buy a black truck, but man I think I'd kick myself in the *** later when these same issues start showing up.

Red or Silver seem the most forgiving. That charcoal gray GMC I had was also pretty forgiving.

Same here with my NBM. When it's REALLY clean and has a few good coats of polish and wax, it looks like there are specs on the front of the hood. Closer inspection reveals they are chips.

Eventually, I will replace the nose cone and get a new hood, but that will happen AFTER I get another car to be my daily driver.

so true. i was just making sure that it wasn't just me having bad luck lately with my paint color. damn it's that word - frustrating. i guess the best remedy is to just stop looking your car over so much.

Everytime I look at my silver T/A there's a new scratch. Thankfully they don't show as well on my silver T/A as they do on my bronze metallic GTP.

Having a car that's black doesn't help things either. Even If i take it out just to go around the block. Dust and pollen is everywhere!!!

Wash your car...find new scratches, chips, etc.
Zaino, polish, or wax...find their friends.

Sometimes I dread washing and then adding a coat of Z because I know I am going to find some new scratches/chips.
