How would this stuff do on polished wheels? Obviously I'll still have to polish but I want to make the job as easy as possible and also keep from harming the finish with the cleaner as well..

Thanks for the review! What did you think about the smell? That was a big sticking point for us and one of the reasons we tested/changed the DWC formula before we were ready to release it.

It's safe for ALL wheel finishes, provided you don't use it on wheels that are hot and you don't allow it to dry. Follow those two rules and you'll be golden!

That is awesome. I was planning on ordering some Adams polish soon so I think I will add in some of this wheel cleaner since it's safe for aluminum and clearly does some work!

I thought it the smell was good. There was a few times you could smell a chemical smell but not too often.

Solid review. I'll have to give the Adam's a try. Only problem is, I just ordered 10L of Sonax last week lol.

Looks like Adam's has a solid wheel cleaner here. Definitely looks like it has a bit more "bite" than Sonax does, at least in your application. I'd be interested to see a comparison on some heavily caked German automobile wheels.

I agree with all the points you made Jay. While you clean more wheels than me and many different types, Adams has worked flawlessly for me with my Fikse's and I like it much better than Sonax. It does foam nicely, and requires much less agitation with a brush in my experience. Because it foams better than Sonax, I find myself using less Adams than I did Sonax. The bottle is also double the size of Sonax which is nice. For multispoke polished wheels with so many nooks and crannies, Adams is really getting the job done and helping my wheels shine.

Night and day. Sonax smells gross and Adam's is pretty pleasant like most of their products I have used.

When I mentioned cleaning different types of wheels I was referring to why I had so many wheel brushes.

It's good to see that other people have had the similar results using Adams.

As mentioned the smell is much better than the Sonax.

Jason, have you tried Wolf's Decon Gel yet? You get 1000ml for $20, and it works almost as well as Iron-X does. Definitely a go to wheel cleaner for me.

Looks like I'm going to place my first order with Adams. I wonder if Detailers Domain carrys this new wheel cleaner.

No I understood you, I just meant that you clean many more wheels and wheel types. I always had good luck with Adams metal polishes so I gave the wheel cleaner a try and they won me over Sonax for now.

I haven't used that. Yes DD carries ADWC.

I just got some Wolfs a few month ago, and it does work well. Smells like hell but it works. Another great thing about it you can use it on paint.

Mine should be here by the end of the week with the brush...cant wait to see if it can get some of the baked on brake dust in deep crevices broken free!

How is the clean up of the by product? Since I wash in the driveway do these products wash away easily? Silly question I guess but since they work so well I don't want to worry about staining the concrete.

That I can't answer. My driveway is gravel at the moment. That is a good question though.

Before it was warm, I used it in the garage. I never noticed anything on the concrete, it looked just like soap once I rinsed it off on the ground.

Thanks! There have been a lot of people here that have helped me, I'm glad I'm able to pass that along.
