Paint is bubbling on pillar behind T-Tops...

Mine looks Great ! Mine bubbled up all the way around on my 99 SS. This is a manufacturning defect and is caused by use of a second source epoxy when they would run out of the GM stuff.
The fix requires removing the top and replacing with a new top,then repainting. Yes,it is scary as hell to think about it! However,that is the only way to prevent bleed through again. My top had already been painted twice when the bubbles appeared.
Mods are not a problem I am modded to the hilt 408 RWPH,long tube and a Volant Air Intake, the whole nine yards.
The dealer might try to play stupid,but, there is a service bulletin on this.
My dealer was well aware of the problem and has done three replacements
from our club alone(Space Coast Muscle Cars), so just GIT'ER DONE !!!!

I just got my NBM WS6 back yesterday for bubbling roof syndrome. I was nervous about it at first but it was really my only choice. In the end it has all turned out great. It looks as good or better than it ever has. I only have one complaint. The small black triangle piece behind the drives door needs to be adjusted a little and that's it. I say go for it. Don't pay out of your pocket for something that isn't your fault.

Bubbles in top The Bulletin covers both T-Tops and coupes. Both of the other members in my club that have the problem are T-tops. Mine is a coupe. Ours had a line of small bubbles about 1 inch in from the edges all the way around the top. It was most visable in bright sunlight. You migh have a problem with just one bubble.

So if I go in there asking about it the dealer should know about it and not have any problems? It would probably be wise to talk directly with the service manager.....
