27mm = 1 1/16" So that'd be an extra 3/16 of an inch larger than larger ones in my pics, so just a tad larger than those.

Very true guess I could use my imagination, thanks for the help..

On a side note from adapters...I love your stubby antenna, rubber one off a certain auction site?? Looks rubber but all I can find are carbon fiber ones. Looking for same type if you have a link or seller that would be great.

It's a carbon fiber one from eBay. I can send you a link when I get back to my computer.

Thats a good point, How hard is it to swap the antenna? Ive never done it but doubt its tough. If its easy Ill buy it, see how the reception is n if it blows then ill put the old stocker back on

forgot to post back in here, the antenna I bought was from seller: totalsalez

just look up "CAMARO CARBON FIBER 3" SHORTY ANTENNA"...should have a pic of an all black/CF antenna with some adapters and stuff

for the swap you'll need to get rid of the firebird power antenna setup and get a 98+ camaro setup, from there its just a matter of screwing in the new antenna. My entire system is terribly overdue for a complete overhaul, but my reception is fine with the local stations that I listen too, though I almost always listen to Pandora on my iphone.
