What grit to sand casting line out of caliper?

I have stripped and cleaned my calipers in preparation for a black repaint. I bought decals to put on them and want to sand the line off that runs the length of the caliper on the face. What grit/grits should I use for this seemingly simple task?

If you have a harbor freight or Walmart near you they usually sell dremel kits with like 150- 200 random pieces for pretty cheap and it should contain more than enough rolls. When you do it though don't use a lot of pressure let the roll do the work so you can get the most out of it. I get something medium grit like 800-1000 or so. Enough to remove the casting line but not enough to really dig into it.

if you dont want to buy a dremel you can get a sanding roll kit from advance in the cheap **** tools bin for like $4. it works very well, i used them to port and polish my throttle body and maf housing.
