Looks great. IMO that's the way they should've came from the factory. The skinnier front bumper with the wider look it gets to the rear on a trans am makes it looks more sharp. Pointed basically. That's the best combination. Want to do it to mine some day.

I think he wanted a non-T-top car, and if I'm not mistaken, most if not all Trans Ams were T-top cars whereas Formulas were T-top or hardtop. And I may add (as I know this from personal experience) he would have also had to switch the turn signal and foglights as they have different housings from Formula to Trans Am and vice-versa. Mine started out as a Formula and I turned it into a Trans Am and couldn't be happier. A friend of mine gets on me every once in a while that my car is not a TRUE Trans Am, I'm like whatever, I try to explain to him that the Trans Am is more or less an appearance package as my car has the same engine, transmission, rear gears and wheels that came on a Trans Am, only difference is exterior bumpers, rear wing and rocker moldings and I believe Trans Ams all had leather seats, mine has cloth, and that's fine with me as my last TA (1996) had leather and burned the back of my legs every time I got in during the summer. Oh well, to each his/her own.

I always say people who love leather seats have clearly never owned a car with them, LOL. Burning in the summer and ICE cold in the winter, while cloth may not look as nice it is way more practical on a DD car.

good guess blue09rocket! don't like t-tops, never have and never will! when I bought the car a Trans-am was thousands more than the Formula. I made the right choice.

Yet 99% of people who see the car will think it is a Trans Am and only the 1% hrdcore Pontiac people will catch on. So the masses will just be confused. But hey I get it and I know its your pride and it matters squat to anyone else's opinion. I have a Trans Am and the 98-02 Formula is waaayy better lookin imo. Gonna get me one*

I'm after a similar look with my T/A.. I've removed the side skirts and swapped a Base/Formula rear bumper to go along with the front bumper. Basically a Formula with ram-air hood and T/A hatch now.

I think yours would look better with either a WW lip or factory W68 gfx on the front though. I'm not a fan of flared skirts and the bumper rounded under... Besides that, good looking car

I was thinking that it needed a lip or something too, but I don't want it to look like it was add on!

That looks immaculate. It's nice seeing the odd one-owner car on here.

I think I'm in the exact opposite boat as you. I don't like the formula bumper and I would have never bought my car as a hard top. People mostly know these for the T-tops, and don't like the hard top what so ever.

To each their own though.

Im not a fan of the Formula front bumper. The car is beautiful though!

I love T tops, so I wouldn't want the hardtop, but I do wish they made a hardtop T/A. They do look a lot cleaner.

Just saying I would trade my t/a for a formula any day lol. The formula looks so much better in my opinion. Plus I would love a hardtop. No leaks and it looks way better.

you sir, have good taste! don't get me wrong as I think the t/a is a sweet looking car, but a hardtop looks so much cleaner!
