Need Mecham Hood Info
Need Mecham Hood Info I want to know why my Mecham hood does not have the ram air vents in the front like the one in the bottom pic, the first two pics are my car.
I don't know if it is because it is a early model, my car is #2 98 Mecham GTR TA.

You have the earlier Mecham design. They re-did them in...2000? 2001? Something like that...
I had the early design on my 99 TA, and I think the new design had come out when I traded her in for the '02...

That's what i thought but my sept 2009 issue of high performance pontiac has the #1 98 Mecham TA in it and it had the screens, but am sure they put a new hood on because the shitty quality of the older hoods.

Looks good i have never seen stripes on a Mecham hood before.
I will get some pics of my car when it is not dirty and gets out of body shop. Should be out by end of the week.

Dennis is VERY hard to get a hold of but nice when you do.
On a side note, I am really trying hard to get my hands on a set of Power Oval Tips...if you know of any around for sale please let me know.

yea you have the early design. the version 1. which came on the actual mecham TA's then he changed the design in 01 i think to the one on my car which is the version 2
version 2 is what most of us have now.
