Default "PONTIAC" valve covers

I'm looking for some "PONTIAC" valve covers. I can find the Chevrolet ones just not the spelled Pontiac ones. They are smooth with no coil mount locations.

They are not. I was going to buy some last winter and they are discontinued. Tard companies still have them on their site and they still even let you buy them and take ur money and then call you a few days later to say sorry. I searched hi and low. In the end I made my own.

I was going to make a write up on cheap smooth nice looking valve covers because these look way way better than the stockers with the pedestals knocked off. I just never got around to it. As you can see they start out their life as holley natural cast which are only about $140 and I think the photos tell the rest of the story. The primer is filler primer and a high heat satin black with a high heat clear coat. Then the pontiac and racing are vinyl graphics that are ontop. They look amazing in person. I get compliments every time I open the hood and at car shows.

I knew that! Damn. I had that in my mind for my 68 project. I wanted it to be so clean and smooth.

That's some real clean work! How is the vinyl holding up with the heat?

Hey Ws6 what kind of numbers you put down with the 408 LS3? What intake?

Didn't they make more T/A's than Camaro's anyway? You would have thought someone would have realized people didn't what "Chevrolet" on their valve covers on their T/A.

I wanted a set to paint Pontiac Blue to match my engine. I guess I will have to try smoothing a set and using decals like above.

Car made right at 500rwhp in a GTO with a nitrous cam/tune and a LS3 intake. I'm swapping the intake out for a Hi-Ram and a custom cam for my current build.

(Not to hyjack, but... )

That's what I did to my LT1 block, valve covers and intake manifold - painted them Pontiac "Robin's Egg" Blue.

My engine builder thought I was crazy - He was gonna paint them ORANGE!

The vinly holds up just fine. I did alot of searching on forums and alot of people do it. It still looks as good as the day I put it on, its been 4,500 miles so far
