My car has seen snow only twice. Picture one is from Owens Valley, CA and drove on this road while camping out there. Picture two was from an actual storm I drove in at Don Pedro Lake, CA. It snowed here at 900 feet at 3pm. It caught me off guard and had no traction in about 1/2" of snow with summer tires. I ended up pulling on the side of the road while I waited for the snow plow to drive by. I waited 1.5 hours and was burried in 6 inches of snow (no pictures). It was quite an experience fishtailing the whole way back down the road.

I used to drive my old 98 in the winter. It was my only car.
This was one reason I decided I was done with doing that.
The other was the horrific rust cancer taking over the underside of that car.
My 99 has never been driven in the winter. I don't have a garage though so it does get snowed on. That won't really hurt it though as salt never touches it (they don't even plow the alley here let alone salt it), and I'm not overly concerned about the paint as it needs a respray at some point anyway due to rock chips, bubbling sail panel, etc.

I would suspect that driving in rain will cause a car to rust far faster than some condensation from being outside. I've had it 2 years and no rust yet however.
Trust me, I want a garage for it. I don't have one where I rent, but I hope to change that at some point in the not too distant future.
