FYI, I finally found a Camaro wheel in acceptable condition and it swapped over to my T/A just fine. Everything fit like it was going back in another Camaro. Wheel feel is dramatically improved as well. Definitely a worth while mod.

Without question they are different! I have a 01 ws6 my brother just bought a 02 camaro ss I drove mine to go pick his up and the difference in thickness between the two was the first thing I noticed when I test drove his my wheel in my t/a is way skinner than his wheel in his.camaro no doubt about it I just bought a oem wheel from my local dealer that is for a 02 camaro I will post pics of the difference

I can tell you that they have different part numbers.
2000 - 2002 Firebird = 16823676
2000 - 2002 Camaro = 16825299
I would assume that if the wheels were 100% identical, they would have just used the wheels already made for the Pontiac on the Camaro. I've driven both and the Camaro wheel definitely felt more comfortable.
