Cool. I've already messed around with it some in the past, and it looks 100x better then when I bought it. It almost looked like a blue/grey color, and I don't think its ever been washed a day in its life.

I'm gonna order up some stuff. Maybe I'll make a thread on here when I do it.

Nice work Justin, look great!!

Wet sanding, as mentioned, is not for beginners as it can get out of hand in a hurry. VERY easy to remove too much clear, especially when following with a rotary and an aggressive compound.

Did you use a paint thickness gauge to check your clear thickness?

Thanks Nick. Really appreciate the compliment.

To answer your question. Nope! LOL... I know to some it seems like a huge risk, which is probably is. But in my 12 yrs I have never burned through factory clear while sanding with 1500. Never mind the 2500 I used to do this job. Now I do know the history on this car as it has never been painted and has factory clear on it. If I thought it had crappy clear/paint job done I would of been using a gauge more than likely. I guess I am a little old school when it comes to that, even though I am only 30. Haha.

Man is it 30 now that makes us old school? Lol well I will join you then in that. Once I start my paint correction if it doesn't come out with results I want then I will definitely be hitting you up on some wet sanding tips. Again looks great

Thanks. It could be done as long as your not re clearing over chips and such. I do believe that you can clear over 1000-1200 grit. No positive though.

I agree. It's amazing how much cut is has but finishes down great. I've been using the crap out of some M101 lately, I need to pick up some more FG400.

OP car looks great.
