Detailing and scratching the car.
I am using a micro fiber towel and the car detail spray to clean up the car. The car sits in the garage and doesn't see rain, so it doesn't get dirty enough to actually wash it. Anyway, when I am cleaning the car, I am still getting small scratches. I use the same towel and spray on my 81 Z28 and 13 Chevy Truck, and I don't get the scratches like I do on my WS6. What do you guys suggest I start using?
Are you using a quality microfiber, as in not one from walmart or autozone?
Even if the car doesn't see rain, if it's getting driven enough on weekends ect detail spray isn't going to be enough.
I use Adam's, they are a sponsor. Their waterless wash or new rinseless wash are great products.

I would also recommend you use a waterless or rinsless wash if you have heavy dust on the car. If it is light dust then detail spray is ok.
Turtle wax offers a nice rinseless wash. You can pick it up locally at autozone for about $8. Look up the Gary Dean method when using a rinseless wash.

What kind of MF towels and detail spray are you using? MF towels that Auto Zone, Advanced, etc sell are from China and are crap. The best towels come out of Korea. What some companies are doing now are importing MF from Korea and making it in China to help keep the cost down.
Detailing.com has good MF towels for a lot cheaper than Autogeek and the like, but they are the exact same towels. Their white utility towels are cheap and very soft.
To wipe off detail spray I really like the gray towels with the black silk border.
If you want the absolute best towels they are Microfiber Madness. Corey at Car Pro sells them. They are imported from Germany and are by far the best towels I've ever used. It's hard to convey how much better they are.
I personally like, love actually, Adam's Detail spray. It's super slick, easy to wipe off and adds some gloss.
How you wipe the car off and how you fold the towel both are important also.
If the car is really dusty you might want to look into using ONR waterless wash or the "Gary Dean" wash method.
I hope this helps some. Hopefully I didn't come off condescending like I apparently have in other posts here recently.

Also when you dry your MF towels use low heat or air dry. Using too much heat makes the polyester dry out and get hard which will lead to scratches.

MF towels are made in two places in the world, China and South Korea. The ones you can find at auto parts stores and big box retailers are the made in chain junk ones that can and will scratch your paint.
The ones from South Korea are the best you can find, and certainly come at a premium price point...but can be washed and reused for years at a time.
I'll let you guess where we get ours.
