The Cobra **** looks nice, but I have to go with the GTO, it looks really cool.

Anybody know what the Boot looks like for the black ****? Just black threads where the red one has red threads??

Just wonderin!

no problem....i wanna kill Jennings (dealership) and GM right now. Jennings first ordered the wrong parts for me (TWICE!) and now GM has a shortage of shiftboots so I'm stuck waiting...rar

it's no more ironic than putting in a Ford 9" rear end

and as far as putting a GTO slip-on **** onto a screw-on stick, all it would take is either drilling out the hole in the **** or knocking the threads off the stick, then using some type of silicone glue or something similar to hold the **** in place.

or you could use both the **** and stick from a GTO, and just drill the holes at the bottom of the stick in order to screw it to the f-body shifter mechanism, if the existing ones don't line up already

Did all V8 F-Bod's come with the Hurst Shifter?

By Stock, do you mean the GM shifter or teh "Factory" Hurst Shifter???

Thanks, I'm waiting also!!!

i mean the stock stock stock pos factory shifter, not hurst. i dont know if it will fit on the hurst. not all v8 fbodys came with the hurst, sadly mines an example of that.

the thread on the factory hurst stick is the same as teh z28 factory shifter...same thing so it should fit..

i gotta say it would look better without the damn numbers...the first time someone actually uses those to figure otu where the hell they are shifting too...id hope they'd be driving to the dealership to get an auto!

what threads??? not the ****, the gto **** can't be threaded on.

its close, but the shifter doesn't fit on the pro 5.0, as demonstrated in these 2 pictures.

it does however, fit perfectly onto a stock (non-hurst) shifter.
