Default Painted Wheel Wells

Here's why I decided to paint my wheel wells...

Painted Wheel Wells-cz5w6yr.jpg

I used a paint brush with some Rust-Oleum Flat Black Paint. Here's the outcome...

looks great! I did mine too a while back when I painted calipers and installed new brake rotors. Its the little things that make a car's appearance pop! Anyone can wash/wax a car, yea it looks like a washed and waxed car. but the details really set it apart.

When I get my new brakes for my car (ordered wrong ones ) I plan on doing the same. Cleaning up and painting the calipers and wheel well liners. Looks so much better.

Where did you pick up the paint? I saw the spray cans when I was poking around at Autozone but really wasn't looking for a standard paint can.

Checked Autozone and they didn't have what I wanted. Went to Walmart and picked up a quart of flat black Rust-Oleum for about 8 bucks.

I did mine on a jack stand, with wheel removed and brake and hub covered in plastic bags, I used a wire wheel on a drill, ran it all over the wheel well surface to knock off as much of dirt / grime / loose coating. Then I cleaned a few times with a glass cleaner until nothing showed on the paper towels anymore. Then I used a gloss black rustoleum paint. I used gloss because it is hard to clean a lowered car's wells, so it just looks cleaner. Take your time and coat a few times. Is a easy appearance mod.

Any pictures? I'm curious what the gloss black looks like.

Looks great how long does it take to dry? How many coats did you use?

I did one heavy coat. I don't know how long it took to dry. I let it dry overnight.

Here is only one I have, it was actually taken for the A arms install photo but gives an idea how it looks.
