Aircraft Remover??

read a bunch of threads about using aircraft remover to remove tint... just wondering if anyone has done it and if it harms the defroster on the rear window.???

i found it at autozone by rustoleum

seams a bit extreme to me, I'd be afraid of it getting on the interior, or for that matter the paint, myself.

dangerous to use paint stripper on the window, I wouldn't recommend it--I used soap/water, 0000 steel wool, and a sh*t load of patience. I also made sure the car sat in the sun for a good hour before starting.

just steam it off...easiest tint removal you will ever do..

Simple Green. I'm serious. Soak the tint with Simple Green. Press black plastic trash bags cut to the shape of the window against the soaked tint. Sit the car in the sun for a half hour to an hour. Slowly peel the tint off while spraying more simple green where you're peeling to keep it wet. It works as good, if not better, than the amonia method without burning your lungs, making the car smell horrible, or hurting your interior. I've done this on three cars now with over 10 year old tint on them. Left no glue/residue behind and didn't damage the defrost lines on any of them either.

For the back window in my TA i had to use vertical strips of black trash bag because I couldn't get one large piece to stick long long enough to get it across the whole window.
