Hmmm...verdict is still out on this one for me. It's so subtle it's got me asking why even spend the money. I'm thinking they need to make a taller one with something that accentuates the hood lines a little more. Can't hardly see the lines. I'd have to see this on a different color car I guess. Maybe it's just the pictures . Anyone in OK have this hood? I'd really love to see it in person 'cause this is the one I was thinking about. Now I'm leaning more towards the boxy style for mine.

Anyway, Thanks for all the compliments, I truly love this hood! It does take alittle getting used to from the inside, but I had a 6" cowl on my old '68 camaro, so this isn't all that bad. The Mecham spoiler is basically like a SS, but the lip is slightly more, and as stated, it does not have the post in the middle. I like the look 'cause it's almost stock, but different. I am saving money for it now.

Sorry if this double posts, but it wasn't showing, and I wanted to thank everyone for their comments. For those who wanted better pics, with less reflection, I will try and take some this weekend and post them.
And Keenov, yes, that's summits part #

Well, since this thread got brought back up it had me thinking of ordering this hood again. I called up Harwood and found out the damn thing weighs in at around 38 lbs.

Needless to say, I'm going another route.

There's a guy on another site I go to that has a silver/pewter Z that just got this hood too. He's supposed to post pics 2morrow. PM me and I'll send ya the link. It'll be 2morrow nite though, as I am going to sleep.
Later,
Kev

BTW Here's the rear spoiler I hope to get as soon as we get our home fixed from the tree damage.

I hope to hell that Mecham spoilers are higher quality than their hoods

Don't buy anything from Mecham, their quality sucks. If you want to see, look in this appearance section, I have a post showing their hood with all its cracks. Nothing but inferior stuff.

Well, after having the hood on for over a year now, I can say that it is a great quality peice. I just wish the body shops around here were better, as I now have chips in the paint on the hood. Still haven't done anything with the rear spoiler. I guess eventually I'll try and find a OEM SS one.

Nice! I had a Harwood 2 1/2 Cowl Hood on my '88 Camaro, and I liked it a lot.

LMPerformance sells a spoiler that resembles the Sonoco spoiler, ducktail style that might look good with that hood

Sorry to bring up an old post, but I finally got some new pics without too much glare. I'll post the best one with the fewest shadows.
