Default Exterior door handle wont work - broken plastic piece

I`m having trouble with the door handle on my Trans Am. The outside door handle stopped working. I pulled the interior door panel off, and it looks as though the plastic piece that slides over the rod that connects the lever to the latch has broken. Does anyone know where I could possibly find one of these? I dont know how to explain. What it is. It slides onto and snaps onto the rod, and then snaps into the door handle.
Any help is appreciated.

Autozone sells them. They are called "door lock rod clips". They actually have them out in one of the isles. Find all the Dorman HELP! odds and ends and you'll see an assortment of them.

Some examples here
