Universal fit seats
Universal fit seats I know this has been discussed before, but all the threads I found by searching are well over a year old and many options mentioned are there are not available. Does anyone have experience with cheap universal fit seats? I know you get what you pay for but the previous owner of my car repaired the seat with duct tape that has since melted into a huge adhesive mess in the summer heat, so anything is better than that. I found a seller that says the seats fit into "any Chevrolet", so what does that mean for me fitting them into the T/A?

almost any of the aftermarket race style seats work, the trouble(from my experience) is getting brackets to fit the seat and fit the car, hassle and expense. all in i got seats in mine from amazon and brackets through andys auto sport(terrible service) for around 450. if your not in to the race seat look, id find used stockers
I'm fairly into the race seat look, I like the way it modernizes the interior. What's the deal with brackets? From what I read it's what holds everyone back. I have no clue where to start looking for brackets or what kind. Why can't I use the pre existing ones?

when you remove the seat from an F body car you'll find there are simply for stud sticking up from the floor when you buy an aftermarket seat you'll find that they do not line up nor match the pattern you have to buy a bracket that one matches the floor and to match at the bottom of a specific seatboth seats come with sliders those sliders need to mount to a bracket that bracket needs to mount to the floor therein lies the problem some come as a complete set with brackets and some don'tI would suggest buying a set of seats that comes with bracket save yourself a lot of troubleit took me 6 weeks a lot of phone calls several emails several more emails with detailed measurements and the brackets they sent me were still off I had to drill them by hand to make them work and even those were 200 bucks for the set

not bashing this is real world experience the bracket fine. Through Indy is auto sport or from where Engineering I emailed back and forth with wedge a dozen times phantom explicit measurements and pictures and 6 weeks later the brackets that I got had no holes in them whatsoever I had to hand drill all the holes and then two of the tabsI had to bend by hand kind of a pain 200 for the pair

just out of boredom, i went bacm thru my old emails, found my corrospodance with wedge and andys auto. 11 emails in total to get rhwm the measurements, and to find out where my brackets were after 5.5 weeks.. and i know i called at least 4 times. long story long, get seats and brackets together as a pair, like 6LE use to sell.
