Default How is this ram air hood supposed to look?

I recently bought a 99 Trans Am. It has a ram air hood that I'm sure is not 100% factory. Since the guy told me he cut out the baffles in the airbox, I'm wanting to make sure that he didn't mess up the hood more than I expect. I'd like to buy a CAI but I don't want to suck water into the engine if the hood is messed up.

First question, can I buy something like this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/PONTIAC-TRANS-AM-LS1-WS6-1998-2002-FRONT-RAM-AIR-HOOD-SCREEN-VENT-GRILL-GRILLE-/191259873733?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c87fa11c5&vxp=mtr
To replace the ghetto rigged grilles in the hood from the picture below?

Second question, is this cutout on the opposite side of the ram air nostrils factory?

Thanks

It is wide open behind the ghetto grills for the ram air in the first picture, just wanted to point it out incase you can't see in the photo.

I de-baffled my hood and sealed it to the airbox, filter usually stays dry maybe a little moist if I'm driving through a tropical jungle...

Need some pics though

I believe the hood inserts will work as the mounting points appear to be in the correct positions. The hood inserts should have a metal clip to hold the screws as well, which I don't see in the eBay link.

I can't assist with the second question.

I took out my baffles to, but I don't drive in the rain so it isn't an issue. Yes, the opening is factory. That is how the air gets into the motor. The hole does seem to have some part bolted inside it. Mine did does not look like that.

Sorry to not get back to this soon enough. Been on a 3 week streak at work, been there everyday.

Went with a different picture host, are these pictures working?

If the pictures are working, the same questions apply. Would like to buy a CAI to replace the factory setup, but sometimes I drive in the rain and don't want to suck water into the engine.

Thanks

If you look at your under hood pic. As I explained before, that isn't factory, but the cut out is close to the same as the stock hood. There still looks to be some kind of baffle in there. So the air would have to go around the baffle then back into the air box. With that being said, the baffle should block the water.
