Good smelling interior detailer
Good smelling interior detailer Can anyone recommend a good interior detailer (for plastic and leather) that actually smells good and not like rancid leather?
I've been doing using some leather conditioner and clear on the seats and I hate the smell of that stuff almost makes me want to throw up. What can I use to make it smell nice (besides air fresheners)

What type of smell are you looking for?
Einzett Cockpit premium is all I use for interior plastics and vinyl. Its not shiny or greasy one bit and it smells great. For leather zaino z9/z10 is the only leather cleaner/conditioner that really works well on our lower grade coated leather and smells great. Again the zaino wont leave a greasy residue on your seats. If you want something more low key for air fresheners, I keep a small sprayer with distilled water with a few drops of organic mint and citrus essential oils in it in the glove box. There is a ton different essential oils to use. Its chemical free so mixing essential oils with distilled water doesnt smell fake like the the nasty commercial air fresheners.

Somewhat outside of heavily engineered scents used in the clear top coating of alot of OEM leather seats, I've never come across a synthetic leather scent that even came close to real deal. I would put Zaino at the upper end of synthetically created leather scents. If you want a product that doesnt have a leather scent at all, try leather masters. It doesnt try to smell like leather at all. I dont know how to describe its scent other than it smells really clean. I use leathermaster soft or strong cleaner, vital and protection cream on cars with semi-aniline leather. Its a wonderful product line for higher quality leather. Ive tested it on my own Camaro, but Zaino is better match to our lower quality top coated leather.

Meguire's Gold Class Leather Conditioner spray smells fantastic to me and it's the best off the shelf stuff I've found for plastic, leather, vinyl, etc

i use meguiars plastic and vinyl protectant(in a black trigger bottle), looks like lotion when you apply it, does not leave the greasy dust attracting gloss like armour all, (IMO the worst cleaner ever), and still stays shiny! rub it in like waxing a car. then i use blue coral leather cleaner and conditioner(2 step system), i always get comments of how my truck/car smells new all the time, i like the smell of good leather which i found the blue coral to be the best. cleans great also. i smoke in my cars cigarettes, etc.... nobody ever said it smelled like smoke! so far....

+1 on the Meguire's stuff. I think it smells "fresh" I guess you would say.
