Default Aftermarket Steering wheel, and airbag resistor location pictures

I installed my new steering wheel so I could send the factory wheel back to John Deere. I installed the 2.2 ohm resistor near the connector at the bottom of the steering column. In the pictures is just a mockup, I soldered it, and sealed it with electrical tape prior to putting panels back on.

Also, I have 9 extra 2.2 ohm resistors. If anyone needs one, just send me $1 on PayPal, and I'll mail it out to you.

Dammit I just bought a pack of 10 for this same reason. Now Im going to have ten spare as well. We should have teamed up hahaha.

What size wheel is that 320mm? I'm still getting use to mine but its so awesome having a smaller wheel with a thicker grip.

Looks good bro

thanks man, not sure why there is a big black spot on the bottom spoke. Must be a shadow or something. Its 350mm, but a HUGE improvement over the factory John Deere wheel

The resistor turns the air bag light in the dash off and fools the car into thinking the bag is still there so the pass airbag will still deploy.

what nightwalker said. The resistance is within the tolerance range so that the computer doesn't realize the drivers air bag is missing, so the system works as normal.

NVM i got it working, i soldered the connections and used hot glue for insulation and and to keep the leads separated. Works good.

the resistors do not have a certain direction they need to be. The colored lines are what distinguishes their resistance.

The wheel is the Momo GTR2, but I painted the spokes black, and painted the chrome insert for the horn a charcoal metallic.

The shift **** size is m16x1.5. That's plenty of options. The Hurst shift **** is one of the best. I just tore off the old leather on mine and replaced it with a red line goods leather.

I have a B&M shifter and was looking to maybe get something different. That looks like a C6 ****, I just wanted to double check the stock C6 **** thread size.

for the stock C6 shift **** you'll have to drill it out and tap it with the correct threads
