4th Gen lower fender flange
4th Gen lower fender flange Ok, it's been a while since I've been on here. Car in sig. I've been working on the front suspension, fixing some minor surface rust that came from previous owners garage in Michigan. My question is about the lower front fender bolt flanges. The pic shows the passenger side flange is sprayed black with black bolt heads. The driver side (pic wouldn't load) is half red, half black, with one red bolt head and one black bolt head, respectively. This is my 4th -4TH Gen. I don't remember any of the previous cars having a black flange on the bottom. I would love to correct this, just don't know which way is correct. I appreciate any help. Thanks!!!!
Same here, no accidents. I didn't know if the original owner may have painted this, or something. Most of my other cars were dark blue (NBM), so it wasn't as noticeable. There is also black over spray in the lower back corner (leading to the bottom and lower fender flange) of the inner fender structure (on top of the factory red paint) I'm thinking the correct look would be body color fender flange with body color bolt heads, or possibly black bolt heads. I would think red bolt head would be more correct, due to fender being bolted on while car was painted (if the fender was painted on the car, not separately) anybody else? Thanks!
