Do you miss the Pontiac Firebird Trans Am?

I miss my Formula... its in storage. I'll get it back out soon enough.
When looking for a new/second car 2 years ago I did check out both the new Camaro and Mustang. I ended up with the Mustang. The performance and outer appearance of the Camaro were good, but the interior was not good at all (cartoony/pasticy - not in a good way). Everything was so big and chunky and seeing out was worse. The radio and center stack looked bad, like it came out of a budget model mid 90's truck. So I bought a then-new specially-ordered 2013 Mustang.
I do love my Formula and can't part with it, but the Mustang is more comfortable.
Stiffer non-stock suspension and 13 years of year-round driving (when I'm not away for work) which includes New England winter leads to a rough and noisy ride in the Formula. The Mustang with its base/stock suspension is luxury by comparison. I'm thinking I should have gone with the Track Pack.
Sorry for rambling.

...And yeah - save Buick and kill Pontiac. Nice move. Thanks GM for making 84 different cars out of the same one by changing emblems for a couple of decades until you were on the brink of collapse and then killing the brand that actually had some enthusiasm behind it.
I never got why Pontiac didn't advertise the Trans Am more. It's almost like they WANTED it to fail.
Remember these, though? (LS1)

Being from Detroit and family was GM my Dad told us Chevy was made for power and Buick was made for style and PONTIAC was made with both !!!!! Also remember hearing someone saying something about the 4th gen like "when you look at a Camaro it looks like it wants to come over and kick your *** and when you look at the WS6 it looks like it will!" I also have more people getting out of the way in the fast lane when they see it coming up on them! I had to get one so I wouldn't miss one just miss the nice weather so I could take her out!! Also nice looking cars guys, keep it going!!!

I hope they never bring back the Trans Am. I'm biased because I absolutely love the fact that I have a WS6 from the last year it was ever produced. But I feel like the current Camaro (while I actually like the new style- at least the front and back ends...) just doesn't feel like it's a Camaro. Way too big. I would hate to see the Trans Am get inflated and put huge wheels on it and stuff.

IMO none of the 5th gen TA conversions look too good. Just disproportionate and off in a way.
I do agree though that GM missed the mark by keeping Buick and axing Pontiac. I often wonder what they would have done or what models we would have if it were the other way around.

I like all 4th gen F-bodies, I originally wanted a Trans Am when I first started getting into these cars back in the mid 2000's but found that the Camaro's look good in their own way too.
Not a 5th gen guy though, the ZL1 and Z28 are cool but they just don't do it for me like a nice 4th gen. I want other cars, but can't think of anything that I would be willing to part with my SS for.

I do miss them. I had a third gen T/A and loved it. When shopping for a LS fourth gen I'd have preferred one but camaros run less expensive by 2k in general all things equal.
I like the 5th gen camaro, and I like to think a continued firebird would have been fantastic, as they IMO always had a more flared styling than camaro.
The " 5th gen TA" as created by some from a camaro, enh, some are badass black and gold, others not so much.
I'd love to have seen what gm would have done, then again I'd love to see Katy Perry doing my dishes in a thong, and both are about equally likely to happen.

I actually dont miss them at all. Having one in the garage helps but after owning a 99 Camaro I always wanted a WS6. To me even SS look plain. Almost bought a 5th Gen but after Pontiac went out of business I decided no car payment was a good thing. I enjoy the rarity of a nice clean 4th Gen and IMO with the right mods you can make a WS6 look extremely modern. When I get approached about my car people are shocked to believe it was made almost 15 years ago.
