Hello everyone. For three years I wanted to make some mods with my F-body and now it's possible to buy in Moscow a carbon fiber cloth and special clear epoxy resin. So I've bought a square meter of cloth, liter of the resin and started with the experiments. The easiest part in the interior is the triangle in the door where the window and mirror buttons are placed.
I've covered with the resin my part, waited for two hours and placed the cloth on the part. And left for 12 hours. Then covered the cloth with five or six thin epoxy layer, sorry for my English , it's not my native language. Between the layers I waited for an hour and a half. After that waited for 12 hours to be sure that the resin is hard and ready for sanding. Started with 150 and till 2500. After that I cut all the holes for the buttons and left carbon fiber over the perimeter of the part. Then the 3M lacquer and we've got the finished part.

The ashtray cover was just covered with the cloth. And the center panel is covered with the sixth layer of the resin. Can make some for you guys. The problem is with shipping.

Kind of a stupid question, but how do you get the window/door lock buttons off? I remember taking it the whole piece out and not taking those buttons off since I didn't want to break them

Hey man, would be interested in selling a carbon fiber ash tray lid? Mine went missing, but I was going to get it hydrodipped anyway! PM with a price, if so.
