DIY Spray chrome

So found this surfing around the interwebz. Stuff looks interesting, and after watching youtube videos of it going on it looks pretty good. Anyone ever tried it?

I've seen DIY & PRO stuff like this popping up, here is one such product on Jay Leno's Garage:

Here is another video of a similar product going on a VW hubcap:
Those were in a thread on HID Planet along with some others. If I find the thread again, I'll post it. I haven't seen a definitive answer on the quality/appearance but the point of the thread was someone asking if any of these products could be used to repair a damaged/burnt projector and the answer to that was "no" since the reflective index and durability wouldn't meet the requirements for a headlight. However, in other uses (such as the videos above) it may work out fine.
