Lucky, I put in my money on January 31st for the ls1 bumper. It's been such a long wait.

Well I got the bumper in today and it looks good, a few rough spots and needs some cutting of the holes in the grille area but all in all it looks pretty awesome. Taking it to shop in morning*

Well, I can't wait to get it on any longer so I just installed a McNord bumper I had for now. It looks OK, just not exactly what I wanted. I hope that they will get here soon so I can at least put it into storage with the car and put it on at a later date.

Well how much difference is there going to be in the "new" supercar bumper and the one you just installed?? Also, I think it looks pretty awesome in the carwash pic**

The McNord has more edgy lines and has a blocky spliter. The super car bumper flows better with the curves of the body and the spliter is radiused in a nice sloping curve at its point.

Took it to paint shop this morning and it was an ordeal to get the guy to do the work. He tells me that all of the Camaro aftermarket bumpers are just junk and never fit right and he doesn't want any bad customer confrontations due to the fitment and quality. Finally I get him to agree with fitting it on the car and me going back in to give him the red or green light before paint. If everything goes as planned I should have it out by mid week.

^^You and me both. Im having the grille area and headlight buckets painted black(satin, flat) like the original bumper. Now I just need to get my hands on the rear valance with the cutouts on each side of the car with corsa clones and maybe a hood and she'll be straight**

Well strike 1. Body shop doesnt have skill to fit the bumper. They dont trim or anything. They take off oe bumper put new one on with reach over clamps and declare it doesnt fit. 150$ down the drain. But it does look awesome even in its raw state.

What is that little tab on the bumper. I dont know much about LT1 fenders but is the little tab supposed to slide into the LT1 bumpers?

What exactly needs trimming? It does look pretty awesome tho

Dude,, it is completely retarded that they cant get it to fit. Yeah the tabs slide up into the fender which in the one pic you can see a piece at the very top is keeping it from sliding up in it, and it is touching on the driver side headlight. All things that a skilled bodyman should be able to handle. If I had a garage and the time I would give it a shot because for some reason the words "aftermarket Camaro bumper" defeats people right off the bat. Waiting to hear back from a few other options. Im not stopping now!!

there are more things to be trimmed, sanded etc but yeah that's what it will all come down to probably. the headlight issue is my biggest concern*

You should look into a body shop that is geared towards customs and hot rods rather than modern collision repair. That really is minimal work and should be expected.

I live in an area with a population of about 1 million people, so now would you believe I have called the very few custom shops around and it is no better. Everybody needs to "look" at it 1st. Not one shop can say "we can do it". I called Extreme Dimensions to see if they had any recommended installers in my area. They do,,,,,120 miles away! So I gonna give one more "custom" shop a try and if they are not confident by just seeing it I am going right back out the door and I guess Im Va Beach bound***

Pics of this bumper does not do it any justice. This thing is badass,, and that's just from it being clamped on the car. Im in Go Mode with this thing!!

could you tell if the new bumper lip sits any lower than the stock lt1 bumper did? when i look at my car from the front it looks skyjacked, then when i look at it from the side/back it looks slammed lol hoping this bumper will help fix that illusion

from the front it does look a lil bit lower and from the sides it does to but not a drastic change. taking it to Va Beach in the morning to get it done right, no more dicking around. so hopefully within a week I will post some pics of the finished product**
