Anyone know what this product is? Went to a car show recently and met a guy who had a CTS-V. Like the other cars there, it was clean. He said he had a finish put on it that he spent $1500 on, but claimed it lasted forever, and you never had to wax your car again. He said to clean it, you literally spray it off with a hose and bugs just slide right off.
I got busy seeing other cars there, but later I thought about it more. I don't plan on ever selling my old Camaro, and I do spend a lot of time and money waxing and polishing it regularly (I like using Zaino). I don't know that I have $1500 in all the years, but it would be nice to never have to put that kind of time in it anymore and have it stay strong and looking perfect. Kills me I never inquired further what it was though.

I doubt there's any product that you apply that the bugs all wash off with a hose. But I'm assuming he was referring to a coating like the two mentioned above, except Cquartz doesn't last forever.
He may have been saying forever as in it lasts a really long time not actually forever and it sounds like he was exaggerating about the bugs sliding right off plus $1500 buys a lot of wax.

No, he said the shop gaurunteed it for the life of the car (forever). The bug thing may have been an exaggeration. It's not so much the price of this finish vs the price of wax. As stated before I use high dollar wax already and I'm sure this finish would cost more. It is the fact that this would be little to no maintenance and it's much stronger.

Ceramic Pro. It does have a lifetime warranty and it shows the same protection and durability he was talking about. Looks like it is only offered in 3 states (DC, Maryland, and Virginia), so it would be a drive.
