Well, I don't want to put out hte money for custom seats, so I guess I am going to get it repaired. Thanks guys.

? About Leather Seats The leather seats in our cars are vinyl on the backs, bolsters, every place but the middle inserts (the parts with holes in them), correct? I went to a local shop recently and was told the side bolster was leather, and tried to tell the guy other wise, but he wouldn't hear it.
The entire "front face" of the seat is leather. Basically when you sit down every surface that touches your body is leather. So only the sides and back are vinyl. Same thing applies to the back seat.
Thanks for the info, but I am still a little sketchy on the 'sides' part. Is the bolster, pictured w/ the scratches, leather or vinyl:

It's leather....BUT you have to understand that GM coats all their leather with urethane. This is because the average Joe, spills coffee everywhere, and basically, this coating yeilds easier clean up.
Sit in a BMW/Jaguar and you will feel real leather. Sit in any GM make and you will feel the difference.

Verdad Gallardo Shouldn't be too much. Just find a good quality upholstery shop. For the repair . . a couple hunderd bucks if that. to change all the vinyl to leather, looking at a couple thousand. My 100% custom seats, two tone, and embroidered was nearly $4,000. . . .

I think the the coulpe of thousand sounds kind of high, I did my whole truck for just a few hundred and that was a 2 tone seat
