Default Got my 6LE Seats In...

And they're awesome!

I got the standard 6LE style seats with the Trans Am style vertical stitching laid onto them to make them appear stock. Lateral support with these seats is excellent! Thanks to Mark and everyone over at 6LE for the quick turnaround time and overall awesome product. A big improvement in look and feel compared to the stock seats. Highly recommended.

oh damn I like those a lot... I had race seats once, but didn't dig them so went back to mint ebony stockers. But these make me rethink it...

Did you get seatbelt guides stitched in? That's really my biggest hang up with mine is I didn't change the covers, didn't get the guides at the same time, and I've had a hard time finding someone who can stitch the belt guide loops in place.

Are those leather or vinyl? I need to replace mine and those are pretty much what I'm looking for, assuming that they are leather. Did you have a power drivers seat, and were you able to retain that function?

I don't have any more pics unfortunately.. the install was probably of moderate difficulty. I did need to use a dremel to modify the brackets that came with them as the bolt holes didn't line up. Don't know if mine were a one-off or if all the brackets are like that, but it only took me about 10 minutes to dremel a little more space into the bolt holes to get everything lined up. The rear-most two bolts are tough to get once the seat is in place, you'll need a 13mm (IIRC) box wrench to get to them because a socket wrench won't fit.

These are vinyl.. pretty much the same stuff that the OEM seats are wrapped in. Not true leather, but it's rare to see cars coming with true leather IMO. My daily is a BMW M235i and leather didn't even come standard, I had to order it as an option

I did have power seats, I was not able to retain them. I believe it is possible though, I just didn't care for it too much. The only person who drives the car is me so I don't really adjust the seat around too much.

Overall the seats are really nice, but they are definitely race seats. The seat bottom is shorter and they are lighter than the stock seats. The side bolsters on these are 100x better than stock.. they really hold you in on turns.

I'm dropping the car off tomorrow for an SLP bilstein/eibach install over the stock 98,000 mile decarbons, so hopefully I'll be testing out those side bolsters even more in the near future

IF they were all REAL alcantara, I would LOVE them (I HATE smooth leather/vinyl material).

But my guess is that would price them right up there with the Sparco R600 alcantaras, and Cobra Daytona alcantaras, both of which are made in Italy vs. China.

In your pics those look like a close match to the stock ebony? would that be accurate to say?

Yep, pretty much identical. They are maybe a shade more "gray" than the stock seats but they match very well with the rest of the interior.

Has anyone had trouble with the 6LE seats being too high? I'm only 5'10 and sitting way too high!

What are you guys doing for seat belt bracket alternative? The cheap one that came with the seat feels like its going to rip the vinyl off! So far not so happy with the product.

Any solutions/ideas for these?

My 6LE seats feel like they are similar height to factory seats using the 6LE brackets.

I haven't figured out how to get the leather belt loop strap attached to the seat yet. I need to find someone who can stitch them on there.

The extra side bolster look really nice, and the seats do look factory, but how comfy are they?

I am happy with how comfortable the seats are, but I am having an issue with sitting too high. I am using the 6LE brackets that were included to fit the seat to the floor. I may soon consider finding a way to mount them to the factory seat tracks just so I can sit lower
